It's 1:45am (or so). I have just returned from Borders in Buffalo with my copy of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I thought about starting it tonight, but then I figured if I did that, I'd be up all night finishing it, and I don't have that kind of energy. So I'll start it in the morning, and hopefully finish it on our trip to Binghamton/Utica this weekend.
So I walked into Borders at around 9:30 to make sure I didn't need anything special to pick up my reserved book. It's a good thing I showed up when I did. They gave everyone a number as they entered the store and then, at midnight, they'd call everyone up in order to get their book. At 9:30 I was number 255. *sigh* I had planned on going to the Galleria in between but Rob was pondering over which CDs he wanted to buy for like an hour and a half. So we ended up just staying at Borders the whole time, since we never would have gotten a parking spot if we left. We read the ArtVoice (which is really getting lame recently), had a smoothie, and I bought a wedding planner book that we started to look at. I was called up to the counter around 12:45 and got my book :) Then we made the long quest home. Good thing Rob was with me. It's nice to have someone to talk to in the car.
(PS: He ended up spending more money at Borders than I did!)
So now, off to add the book to my shelf and head to bed. Family Picnic tomorrow during the day, then a gig at night. Yay for extra cash!
